AdMob Native Advanced Sample

This sample demonstrates how to request and display an ad from AdMob Native Ads Advanced in an Android application. The app displays an ad at the top of its activity, and offers a few checkboxes and a button you can use to request different native ad formats.


  • Android API Level v9 or higher
  • Android Build Tools v22 or higher
  • Google Repository v19 or higher

How to Build

This sample uses the Gradle build system. To build the project, use the "gradlew build" command.

To open this project with Android Studio, use the "Import project" choice in the welcome menu, and select the root directory of the project.

A simple activity class that displays native ad formats.

Populates a {@link NativeAppInstallAdView} object with data from a given {@link NativeAppInstallAd}. * @param nativeAppInstallAd the object containing the ad's assets @param adView the view to be populated

Populates a {@link NativeContentAdView} object with data from a given {@link NativeContentAd}. * @param nativeContentAd the object containing the ad's assets @param adView the view to be populated

Creates a request for a new native ad based on the boolean parameters and calls the corresponding "populate" method when one is successfully returned. * @param requestAppInstallAds indicates whether app install ads should be requested @param requestContentAds indicates whether content ads should be requested
